Learning Patience

With mine and my husband’s 3 year anniversary having just passed on the 31st of July, I sat and pondered on some things that I’ve learned thus far. I want to tell you about another major lesson I’m learning about since being married; PATIENCE. So if you’ve read my other post Big Lesson Learned in …

  • Since September (94 days to be precise) I've been grieving the loss of my friend & mentor.

I've debated on what I want the rest of my life to consist of as well as God's plan for Simplicity Magnified.

This is it...
I want the rest of my life to be ▪︎purpose-filled
▪︎spent with loved ones
▪︎present in the moment ▪︎most of all walking closer to God than ever before

This isn't a "New Year's Resolution" but more of a major effort & pivot to walk hand in hand with God & take one day at a time.

Matthew 6:33 is my life verse because from it stems EVERYTHING else.

I appreciate you all sticking around & by February, you can expect new things 🙃

Hope your holidays were great & safe. ❤
  • I didn't want to be on social media anymore & to an extent, I won't be, but I had to share this...

This year has been rough for us all. Many things have changed in a very short amount of time.

There's been one thing that hasn't changed though...

>>GOD REMAINS ON THE THRONE<<

These words hit me different today because it's a fact that won't ever change.

No matter how mad I get.
No matter how much I question what He's doing.
No matter how many times I consciously ignore spending time with Him or reading my Bible.
No matter how many times I get overwhelmed by all of it & ask for Him to just let it end.

I'M NOT IN CONTROL OF THIS ALL... HE IS.

I'm PRIVILEGED in knowing personally that same God who's sitting on that throne while I throw my little fits or "show Him".

Who am I to think God needs me to make anything happen.

I'm ALLOWED to be alive & spend time with Him.

The One constant, not only in this season, (the longest season for the world collectively) but every other season of my life is God on that throne prepping everything for the return of Jesus.

I have the honor of knowing Him intimately through the death & resurrection of Jesus.

I'll just leave this here as a reminder for myself (& anyone who needs this) in those times where I get too full of myself & throw another fit about what I have no control over anyway.

  • If you haven't checked out my stories from today, check my highlight labeled #BOOK WRITING to find out what the latest is.

My plan is to delete social media ACROSS THE BOARD in order to focus on my book writing.

The thought of becoming an #author is mind blowing & crazy, BUT I'M GONNA DO IT.

Since my friend's passing, I've been motivated to get the book done.

Her & I had conversations about my book & discussions about her #writing a book about her life.

She never did get to writing that book, so I fully intend to dedicate this book to her.

The book will be about #identity & #purpose.

You'll know more when I'm closer to the end.

For now, it's time to give the #bookwriting process my full attention.

I'll pop in & out to give updates, but as of tonight, social media will be a thing of the past for me.

My #encouragement to you, don't let social media be the thing that stops you from living out your purpose & sharing your #unique story with the world.

Simplicity Magnified's website will still be up, & you'll still be able to read all that it has to offer.

I'll miss you guys, but if you want to encourage or shoot me some #motivation, you can find my email in the link in my bio.

  • My mentor/ best friend, Mrs. Freda (without glasses), passed away a week ago today.

I'm grateful for the past 10+ years she walked with me in life.

Through the ups & downs & all around.

I know this isn't cropped well & has a lot going on, but this screenshot will forever be etched in my mind.

This was the last time I was able to see my best friend before she went to be with the Lord.

I can't say only a little bit about her because she deserves more than just a social media caption.

She left a strong legacy of love, faith, friendship, loyalty, & family behind.

I'll be forever grateful & looking forward to the day of our reunion in heaven.

Thanks to her daughter & my friend, for video chatting with me & letting me see her one last time during all this crazy #COVID stuff.

Love you Mrs Freda, por vida ❤

If you haven't seen my stories, go watch them. ⤴️

Today I read Isaiah 40:29-31 (scroll down to read the full portion of Scripture ⤵️)

It's pretty well known.

But today, God shined a whole new light on it. 🔦

He met me in my weariness.

A group of friends & I have been praying for our friend who's fighting #COVID_19.

She's been fighting...

FOR 3 MONTHS.

Her fam has been fighting...

FOR 3 MONTHS.

Her, her family & the group of friends... we're growing weary in our pleading with God.

Although it seems like He's not doing much, HE IS. 🙏

He tells us that He'll give us strength to continue as long as our hope is in Him.

💰I'M BANKING ON THIS TRUTH, BECAUSE HE TELLS ME TO.💰

If you're going through ANYTHING... #covid, #califires, #oregonfires, #wafires, or anything in between, PLEASE know that you can put your hope in God through Jesus.

It's still gonna be hard, but at least we know that the Creator is reassuring us that we can find rest & hope in HIM ALONE! 💪

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles🦅; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Isaiah 40:29‭-‬31

What's causing you to be weary today? ⤵️⤵️ Let me pray for you.
